Art  &  Discourse
Vivian Sming is an artist based in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She uses texts, images, videos, and other new genres to engage in posthuman discourse.

Sming serves as the Senior Editor Daily Serving (San Francisco), and is the Editor of nonsensical (Los Angeles) and from shore to sea (Los Angeles). She has spoken and presented her work and research at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, CSU Northridge, Art Center College of Design, and Pitzer College. Sming's work has most recently been exhibited at Torrance Art Museum, Pitzer College, CSU Fullerton, and Crossroads School.

She is currently a 2015-2016 Fellow at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and is an artist in residence at LPP+ for the month of October.
